Listening to Offerman narrate his own audiobook was most assuredly the right decision on this one. At times hilarious, sad, poignant and full of love for his wife and his craft, this is a lovely listen.

I was already in love with Nick Offerman, and this book just solidified it. His mixture of advice and memoir was perfectly balanced and inspiring. I, for one, am now obsessed with becoming a woodworking expert.

You can help but read it with Offerman's voice in your head, but the book screams "preaching to the choir". Nothing very breakthrough or surprising here.

Perhaps a cliche at this point, but I'd like to be friends with Nick Offerman.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Audiobook is the way to go!

Quit halfway. Not sure I have enough testosterone to enjoy this book thoroughly.

Audiobook
funny lighthearted slow-paced

Highly recommended.

Some parts made me laugh out loud, but I skimmed over other parts. I didn't care to read the long chapter about religion, and the middle is largely composed of his experiences in the Chicago theatre scene which I wasn't too interested in. Hopefully he'll write another book and talk more about his more recent past. I wanted to hear more about the movies he's in and Parks and Rec.
