No enough Parks and Rec discussed, but it wasn’t bad. A good origin story you might say.
It was an easy read, but nothing of substance. Half the book is life lessons and the other half is him talking about something he’s grateful for, came off a bit too preachy for me.
An enjoyable read by one of the funniest guys on television.

I'm not typically one for this genre, but I had a great time with this book. Nick's voice shines through the book in such an incredible way. His at times no-nonsense, and at times side-splitting descriptions of his life had me laughing and thinking equally uproariously. Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking about reading it, I mostly picked it up as a fan of Nick's acting and loved it.
Not nearly as funny as I expected from a comedian of Nick Offerman's caliber. I still enjoyed the autobiographical sections on the author's bucolic childhood and subsequent acting career, but without more jokes to leaven the life advice that makes up the rest of the book, it comes off as rather preachy and condescending. And while I'm always going to disagree with a writer who argues that digital life can't be as meaningful as anything you do with your hands, Offerman doesn't even try to engage with the matter beyond knee-jerk platitudes.
