Biased review because I LOVE Nick Offerman. The audiobook is read by him. It would have been 5 stars, but the section where he waxed poetic about woodworking lost me just a tiny bit :)
I reviewed this book on my blog. Please stop by for a visit!

This book is entertaining, and it has some good advice, but despite his extensive vocabulary, it's fairly clear that Offerman is an actor/carpenter, and not a writer.
Hilarious, fantasticly raunchy, while also being insightful. A little dry at times in the middle for me personally, just a bit too long. But overall still a great listen
funny
inspiring
lighthearted
fast-paced
Love nick offerman. Love parks and rec. loved this audiobook. It had me laughing, sighing, yelling, and everything in between. Nick offermans voice is always entertaining. My only wish is that the book were a bit more linear because it does jump around toward the end.
Pretty funny and relevant. Could have used some timeline editing, though.
First, I recommend the audio version which Offerman reads himself. Part memoir, part opinion and self improvement. The guy is blessed and has his head on straight, but is not perfect. Grew up in a strong family and cultivated nice friendships. I enjoyed the book and was entertained. My criticism would be he paid a lot of homage to people in his life that I'm sure made them and him feel good. But as a reader gets old. Also, I'm not a prude when it comes to cussing, but was over done quite a bit and lost it's effectiveness.
Covers childhood to Parks and Rec, with not nearly as much fun background info as you'd want about Parks and Rec. He does cover 10+ years of odd acting jobs, relationship with his wife Megan Mullally from Will & Grace, growing up on a farm, misbehaving in college, and quickly over-my-head info about woodworking. Can get a little preachy on his own life's philosophy.
I finished this book as an act of sheer willpower just so I could take it off my "currently reading" list where it has been sitting for months.
Despite loving Nick Offerman and not finding any of the content offensive as some reviewers have, I just couldn't get into this book. Partly because many of the "jokes" weren't funny, partly because this book should have been about half as long, and partly because...I just didn't really care about anything Nick had to say. I wanted to love this book, but considering it has taken me 6 months to read it, 2 stars it is.
