An excellent memoir that is as insightful as it is fun to read. Nick Offerman has led an interesting life, one that has ranged from small town America to working alongside a Japanese Sensei who taught Kabuki theater to his life in Hollywood as a struggling actor working odd jobs as a carpenter.
It was a fun book that I recommend anyone who's a fan of Mr. Offerman's to read.

I really enjoyed this book. I very much disagreed with his stance on Christianity but thoroughly enjoyed his thoughts on life and manliness. The book did help inspire me to live a more full life with priorities in the right place. Oh yeah and it was absolutely hilarious and had me literally laughing out loud at times.
I thoroughly enjoyed. It had a similar arrangement to Poehler & Feys. He takes you through some of his early experiences and meanders his way to the beloved Ron Swanson. He also gives you his 2 cents on a few subjects. They didn't bother me, but maybe because I slant the same way. Nick gives us a look at the man under the mustache. And Nick delivers his book in the same dead pan meets larger than life woodsy gusto. Audio is a MUST.
It's exactly what you'd expect from Nick Offerman. It focuses on how he got to be who he is, with very little real estate spent on his time in the limelight. Probably better as an audiobook, because i found myself largely reading it in Offerman's voice, but it's definitely worth the read(or listen).
Although I really enjoyed this book, it did take a while to get through. I picked it up for a bit of light reading and found that it is quite wordy so it takes some concentration.
Not nearly as good as I hoped. Has it's funny moments and some good advice. Shouldn't have been in the humor section, the bio section a much better description.
The good chapters were great but the others were so so dull.
funny
lighthearted
medium-paced
Meh. I stopped reading about a third of the way in...may skip to the part where he meets Megan Mullally.
