Deliciously overwritten. If you read this, you'd understand.
Might be right for Nick Offerman fans. Couldn't labour through. Despite the fact that the authour talks lot of sense, it does get repetitive. Certainly not of global audience as too many specific references to continent and culture furthers the disconnect.
Closed it a a book I could only read 40%.

I really enjoy Nick Offerman on Parks and Rec but just could not get into this book.
The audio book was like having Ron Swanson tell me how to live my life.

"Listen. I eat salad. How’s that for a punch in the nuts, ladies?"
Nick Offerman wants you to know that he is not Ron Swanson. But don't worry! Other than him eating salad, he basically is. Jokes aside, Nick Offerman is a great writer and has interesting views on how to live a delicious life. His stories about his time as an actor are compelling and have a very different perspective than those I've read from other actors. The way be writes about his wife, the gorgeous and talented Megan Mullally, makes me believe in love again and think that there may be good men out there after all. If you're a fan of Parks and Rec, I strongly recommend this book. If you have no clue who Nick Offerman, I still strongly recommend this book. Nick is insightful and funny. The audiobook is read by him in his mesmerizing low and gravelly voice, and, most importantly, it includes his iconic, adorable giggles. Give it a listen. You won't regret it.

I enjoyed Nick's book a good deal. Fair warning to anyone wanting to read it that there is definitely some explicit parts. As always I enjoy reading people's story and this was no different. While I don't agree with him on everything he did have some good things that I liked. More than anything I like that it seems that he has stuck to who he was even in the midst of the craziness of hollywood.
I just couldn't get into this. Maybe if I had ever seen the TV show that made the author famous it would help? I don't know.

He's hilariously profane and a joy to listen to. Love his voice.
