I'd absolutely love to get a drink with Rachel Dratch

Pretty entertaining memoir. Interesting little story and a fun quick read.

I really enjoyed this one. I didn't know much about Rachel Dratch before reading this aside from "that funny girl on SNL" but her stories both made me laugh and truly resonated with me. From the cool tidbits about her time on SNL to stories about her dating life and family life, this had a little bit of everything.

I was only vaguely aware of Rachel Dratch before reading this book, but I figured another funny lady from Saturday Night Live wrote a book, so why not check it out. Oddly enough, I liked this way more than I liked Amy Poehler's book even though I know here way better from Parks and Rec as well as some other projects. Dratch didn't have me laughing out loud, but she was entertaining and I did have a greater appreciation for her after reading the book. It was also very interesting to hear her talk about her life after SNL and how opportunities were hard to come by. I was also very amused at how she kept telling us she wasn't into spiritual hokey pokey stuff while she kept doing things that proved the complete opposite was true.
