A clever, fast-paced thriller with a killer premise that hooks you from page one. Twists, sharp one-liners, and layers of secrets keep you racing through the investigation with Jet and Billy. The Halloween setting added the perfect atmosphere to this book.
Jet & Billy’s dynamic felt a bit young for their ages, and some side characters could’ve used more depth. I guessed the ending about three fourths in, but it didn't take away from the suspense.
The final reveal was satisfying and everything wrapped up in a way that made sense.
