very good read!

Author Jim Fergus takes as his starting point a request made by a Northern Cheyenne chief in 1854: give one thousand white women as brides to the warriors of his tribe. From this never fulfilled request Fergus weaves the story of one woman's journey through the American west.

Audio bail - MC would have been interesting in another more believable situation. I got tired of the repetitive “savages” reference.

Bleh. Poor writing, especially the attempt to use dialects. The plot is interesting, but could have been much more fleshed out.
