Kaden ist einfach soo toxisch, mysogyn und übergriffig. Sehr unsexy.

Aber es war unterhaltsam und Mona Kasten hat einen schönen Schreibstil.

I really liked Kaden. I'm exited to read more about Spencer and Dawn! The ending was not what I expected :( it resolved so quickly that I felt unsatisfied after I finished it.

I would love to say that I did not like this book. There are more than a few problematic scenes concerning respecting boundaries/consent. I felt very uncomfortable during these scenes, especially as the book was written in 2016 and the author should know better.

But I have to shamefully admit that Begin Again had me hooked. I could hardly pause the audiobook and was fully invested in the (unhealthy) relationship between Allie and Kaden. Was the story unique? Nope. Was it still fun? Yes!

Though I am disappointed that a German author would not choose Germany as the setting. I think there are more than enough books set at US colleges.

But I can't stay long as I am already hooked on the second book in the series!
