Intoxicating and brilliant. Pollard was able to mix classical academia, Greek mythology, and everyday life under the COVID lockdown into something poignant and beautiful. As the reader, you get to view the Pandemic through multiple lenses: divination, prophecy, religion, and oracle-future telling. I was very pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because I would have loved it to be longer and more fleshed out. It was moody, dark, reflective, relatable, & honest. Highly recommend.
