The audiobook is beautifully done and there were several parts I laughed out loud at
Mediocre writing. Annoying main character. No spice. Like, NOTHING. I was waiting for it to get better and it just never did.

Fun book! I loved reading about Lila! I usually love km Shea’s heroins and this was no exception. Sarcastic and witty characters are always fun to read.
It was also fun to dig deeper into this urban fantasy world that we were introduced to in the Hall of blood and Mercy series, this time with emphasis on the fae. The story was exciting though a bit slow at times. Each character brings something fun to the pages and I’m looking forward to seeing how Lila’s relationship with her court, her friends, family and Reigl develop and how she will improve the magical community as a whole!

Entertaining enough, sometimes the writing is awkward. Why does the MC have an obsession with weird names for her animals lol?

I only read like 3 chapters and I can already tell, I'm not gonna like it. So I'll just get out while I'm ahead and leave no rating. The world building seemed to be almost non existent in so far that I've read. And the heroine's so called humor seemed to be extremely forced. It's just meh overall. What made me give up on the book is this one line:
Y'all seriously expect me to suspend my disbelief to this extent? What sort of person calls out to 6 horses and a donkey with their individual names while running from raining bullets? This line just made me instantly give up on the book. I just know there'll just be more stupidity like this in the upcoming chapters.
