These continue to get better and better with each book! Really love the way Lana and Harley’s relationship started growing in this third one, I hope they become friends (at least I feel like they will!). These have me on the edge of my seat and laughing out loud during certain moments.

It gets a bit darker each book as well as Lana unravels more of her past. She went through some truly traumatic things and I love the justice unfolding along the way.

Enjoying this series more the further on I read. Love a thriller, though this one has surprised me as steamy romance & violent revenge are two plots I'd not normally be interested in. Loving the cat-and-mouse complications of this good cop/secret vengeful vigilante relationship & am waiting in anticipation for how that is eventually going to go down if and when it is discovered...

This is so random to start off with but based on the covers I was expecting these books to be much smuttier than they are right now. So, if you're hesitant to go into them because you think they'll be smutty then don't worry, or if you're expecting a smutty book then you're not going to get much with these books. I know I'm only on book three, but I don't see the author deviating from this structure.

Okay now that that little tidbit is out of the way. It sucks to say that I slightly disliked this book compared to the first two (I rated the first two 4 stars) and I honestly think that's just personal preference on my part. This is the book where Hadley really finds out and Lana is faced with her first in-person obstacle. Now, I think I'm just too much of a Lana stan that seeing her in any trouble whatsoever makes me uneasy. And also, I think it doesn't help that I'm just not a fan of Hadley's character. Also, based on my observation of this book, I think it's really the plot that's moving Lana and Logan's relationship. Like I feel more connected to them, but I still feel like there isn't much substance to their relationship. Also, I'm going to suspend my disbelief, but at this point, I find it unbelievable that Logan is portrayed as a master profiler who can just look at a picture and solve a case, but he still hasn't figured out that it's Lana when so many things are pointing to that. Maybe he's "blinded by love" or something.

Not gonna lie, this book is a little forgettable up until the last 25%.
The scene where Lana murders and torches Morgan jumpstarted the book for me cuz I was just a bit anxious for a portion of it. Honestly, Lana's murder scenes are the best part of the books for me. And when she and Jake (the MVP of the whole series) painted the town red by messing with the fountain and walls was so pleasing to read.
That's when things start to go down and the chaos starts to begin (we're in the town boys!🥳). With the why this ended I can't wait till we get the full story. The last two books have a lot of promise. I hope they don't disappoint me.

Finished Scarlet Angel and I'm still obsessed with this series. I love how dark, raw, and gritty this series is as well as full of hope, love, redemption and truth. This series is so complex and complicated due to the actual story and characters.

Lana Myers, the fmc who wants to right all the wrongs. She's the avenging angel who is to good for this world and yet people tried to rid the world of her and her family but she will have her revenge. Even if it breaks her heart and ends her!!

Agent Logan Bennett is trying to find the killer and isn't sure if he wants to side with the killer or arrest them. Will he lose everything that means something to him in his crusade for justice?

I love this series because it delves into the psyche of a serial killer and why they are doing what they are doing. It also shows the complexity of why a person would be driven to do such heinous acts against a group of people all in the name of "revenge!" Not everything is as black and white as it seems. Not everything is as easy as right and wrong. Things aren't always what they seem and sometimes you have to look at things from a different perspective and realize that justice isn't always given, sometimes you have to take it because it was never given!!!

Stay Tuned for my review of book 4

Damn, this book is awesome. Lana is delusional, but I believe that she loves Logan. I can't believe that Lana and Hadley bonded in some way. As usual, this is twisted and a bit scary because of the dark descriptions of how she tortured and killed those men who were horrible people. In a weird and twisted way, I'm glad that she protects helpless people from monsters and has become a scarlet angel. See what I did there? 😂 Anyway, great book Thank you, Stabby✨

I am seriously loving Logan & Lana's story. As the FBI is uncovering answers to what happened ten years ago, they are also closing in onto the serial killer. Even if Lana could stop, she doesn't want to until her revenge has been made, avenging the death of her family, and who she used to be. But once Logan uncovers the truth, she fears that he will see her as the monster she truly is.
Each story is fast paced, and dark, but also sprinkled with humor. I love Lana & how absolutely strong she is. How she over ame the hell and horrors she had been through. 5⭐ out of 5⭐.
2🌶️ out of 5🌶️ - a couple scenes in some detail.

Mainly detail points but i love
how her and Hadleigh are like business associates right now. like she was in the closet and i was getting real anxious on how things would go over. It KILLLS me how all the pieces to the puzzle are layed out in front of him. But it’s like he’s looking at them upside down. I really wan step in and like an piece it together for him ya know. I’m also scared to because i really want them to go live with each other in Greece carefree and happy.
how supportive Jake is throughout the whole book. He’s there for her no matter what. He was willing to throw it all away if that’s what Lana wanted. I think my favorite scene is where she dukes it out with the boogeyman.
