Mainly detail points but i love
how her and Hadleigh are like business associates right now. like she was in the closet and i was getting real anxious on how things would go over. It KILLLS me how all the pieces to the puzzle are layed out in front of him. But it’s like he’s looking at them upside down. I really wan step in and like an piece it together for him ya know. I’m also scared to because i really want them to go live with each other in Greece carefree and happy.
how supportive Jake is throughout the whole book. He’s there for her no matter what. He was willing to throw it all away if that’s what Lana wanted. I think my favorite scene is where she dukes it out with the boogeyman.

Reaffirming that it likely started out as a Criminal Minds × Dexter fanfiction.

These cliffhangers keep getting me to pick up the next one.  They tease you with part of the riddle being explained and then you have to read to find out how the FBI will discover the rest.

Better than the first two books, yay! I still don't buy the romance as Logan and Lana don't do anything but have sex and huddle together post-danger...actually, I can believe Lana falling for Logan as he's a safe place for her, but the other way around? I don't know. Logan barely knows anything about her yet he's unhinged by ~*passion*~ all the time. It's laughable how smart he can be during an investigation, yet he has a blind spot the size of Mt. Everest when it comes to Lana. Love makes you dumb as rocks, I guess?!

Hadley is great, though! Her character makes the narration sound more self-aware, because she's level-headed and actually calls out the other characters when they say something dumb. I need more Hadley chapters! Lana is less cringey (pertaining to the language in her POV) and is easier to sympathize with as we learn more about her horrific past. Just when I start to get into it, though, she'll drop another line about being a monster or avenging angel...like she can't let me get too comfortable, she has to remind me she's still an edgelord. 😂

And the series continues to be very good. I’m still really enjoying the characters, and their joint storyline as well as their personal journeys. These books are so short, but I’m actually enjoying the length of them. I’m really enjoying the plot, and the FBI profiler team situation. It’s very interesting and brings a certain mystery to the book, that tbh I’m not used to enjoying.
2/5🌶
