an excellent excellent sequel to ender's game. to see ender, himself, as an adult is a bit strange, but worth it.

Damn you Card. How can a man who is a bigot like yourself write something like this wonderful book? It contains insights on: memory, death, the nature of science, and above all empathy; the ability to feel what another is feeling and yet come to terms with those differences to still ultimately except that person, not matter how alien. I believe that the complex characters that you have written here would disown their very creator for what you believe and the causes you champions.

I cannot in good conscience give a rating to this book because by doing so it would support the author no matter how small. Rereading this book, that I so thoroughly love, was painful enough.

It's no Ender's Game. But I was pleasantly surprised with how much I did like this sequel. I really like Card's writing style and the ability he has to make you connect with the characters.

This book made me start to think that sci-fi is not my thing.
