Good golly, Nancy! I think this was your wackiest adventure yet!

Less than 10 pages in and a plane almost crashes into the Drew house, Nancy finds an injured pigeon carrying a hidden message, and she witnesses a peculiar abduction. Yet again, her car gets dented up, but no worries, dad buys her a new one in this installment. We learn that Nancy has Carrier Pigeons International (something like that) on speed dial, she is good at scaling walls, and she knows how to drain fuel from a grounded plane. You go girl!

I read the 1933 version of this story and there were numerous inconsistencies with the 1960's editions. Nancy is joined on this adventure by a single? Helen Corning. Last time I saw her she was engaged to be married. In this story, Nancy had 2 different roadsters. Wby did she need a new one? Numbers 8,9,and 10 were not written by Mildred Wirt Benson and it showed. Larkspurs, pigeons, and elder abuse all played a big part in this story. Once again, Nancy always knows what to do and she saves the day with a little help from Ned and Helen. A fun nostalgic read.

3.5 stars. My Nancy Drew audiobook binge is being put on hold since I can’t find the next ones in audio form. :)

4/2/20 age 9 - The story is about some criminals who cheat tons of elder women out of tons of money with the elder women thinking nothing of what they're doing. I really liked it. I liked the part where the terrible criminals get arrested. I did not like the criminals.
Words that describe this book: exciting, surprising, entertaining. It was entertaining because Nancy kept finding herself in little predicaments, and finding ways to get out of the little predicaments. I would recommend this book to William and Emma because they *heart* mysteries
