This book really just added a much more detailed view of the story that has been told in articles and YouTube videos that I've watched. Take a successful thing - add Jack Welsh style of 'management' - and disasters ensue. See also: NASA shuttle disasters, the SS El Faro, the US super collider, etc, etc, etc. The frustrating thing is that even this story starts to feel like a 'story as old as time' despite being a more modern invention, I don't think anything will change. We all KNOW it's bad, but at the end of the day the only people with the power to change this are the people that directly benefit and stay rich from the mentality of prioritizing short-term shareholder profits above all else. So it's just becoming SO frustrating and sad as we continue to watch preventable deaths and suffering - all happily sacrificed to appease the gods of Capitalism.

I wanted to like this much more than I did. It's very informative, but much drier than I was expecting. At time it was a chore to get through.

Very informative and very well researched. The narrative was consistent throughout and I found the glimpses into the stories of the victims' families touching. It certainly makes you rethink the American regulators and flying Boeing. Not surprised it all comes back to Jack Welch and his horrible management style.
