This was such an emotional ride — I really felt for Win and her friends. It seemed to drag a bit at times, but overall, it was a nice story about adolescence, friendship, mental health, and how messy it can all be.
Moderate: Eating disorder, Self harm

My very first graphic novel! Graphic novels hit hard?! I think I teared up on tram at one point… This was a lovely coming of age story that explored mental health, eating disorders and queerness. The night scenes in particular are absolutely stunning, the colours are GORGEOUS and really help capture the emotion of the scene.
May need to try another graphic novel now… Thank you Allen&Unwin for the ARC!
Content warnings: Internalised fatphobia, depression, anxiety, eating disorder, fatphobia, fatphobic comments, alcoholism, biphobia, self-harm, suicidal ideation

I loved the art & the story. I loved how supportive the adults were in the story. A heartwarming story about struggles that weren't glossed over or understated to the point of seeming okay. Also so much representation!

Such a beautifully illustrated and written book. Very heartfelt and true to the feeling of being in high school with all the drama, emotions and misunderstandings. Definitely a book that leaves you thinking and a bit melancholy but in the best way!
Moderate: Eating disorder
Minor: Sexual assault
queer and sad but GREAT!!
