For this one especially I feel like the timeline at the back was necessary to understand what was really going on its pages, so I would have liked more description in the comic itself, but I’m glad the series is continuing on and can be used as a starting point to learn more on these important moments in Canadian history.

Man, these graphic novels do amazing work in such a short amount of space. I appreciate how there is so much to learn in this series, and yet it is done through an engaging story. I'd really like to get to know more about Echo as the series develops, but even now I feel like the authors do a remarkable job in telling Echo's personal story alongside the story of her ancestors. I also can't get over the illustrations- they're hauntingly beautiful.

This series always ends so quickly, just as I am getting into the story. I hope there will be an omnibus someday where they can all be read one after the other.

This was such a great continuation of the A Girl Called Echo series. Echo is such a great character and I still feel bad for her having the ability to time travel back in time to learn more about the history of her people and how they were being driven out and forced to give up who they are. I can not wait to continue with the series.

Another great installment of this series. I sure hope these are being used in schools to teach history.
