I do not like poetry ergo I did not like Shakespeare's sonnets. It's hard to explain why I don't like poetry, but to me it is either you love it or you hate it and I'm on the hating side.

Oh I do love Shakespeare’s sonnets! I must have highlighted half of the book his writing is so beautiful.
I remember studying Shakespeare in high school and absolutely hating it. But then moving up to college and suddenly falling in love with it. It was a bizarre experience but one that I’m glad I went through.
Sometimes, when you need a bit of inspiration for a good romantic quote, the sonnets are your best bet. And it’s incredible to me that in all the years since these were written, we haven’t found a better way of expressing how much we love and admire someone.
