This was good, and I knew going into this story that it was a short standalone. BUT. It’s also strange to introduce things and not follow through on it?? It was a nice story, but ended quite abruptly.

There's not really that much to this, but I really enjoy Woods' writing. She writes well and cleverly, even within the confines of a few pages.

Fall: a Sean Poole short (Carolina Girls #1.5)
5 stars ⍟⍟⍟⍟⍟
This short story is a follow-up to Sara Taylor Woods' debut new adult romance Hold Me Down, which was one of my top reads of 2017. As with Hold Me Down, the relationship between Talia and Sean is so beautifully rendered: sharp and sweet and cozy. Told in Sean's POV, his character voice felt completely realistic and I adored the banter between him and Talia. And the scene of him taking pictures of her?? Hella swoony. I hope that Sara Taylor Woods writes more from these characters because I adore them so much.
