This book follows three siblings, as they go to their mother's house for the holiday season to escape from their life’s problems. Liz has a crush on the main actress from the show she created and produces; Birdie is stuck in her career, getting lost in alcohol and casual sex; Rafi got rejected by his girlfriend after he proposed to her in front of their colleagues.
Usually, having three stories in one book doesn’t work for me but I really enjoyed this book!
Each story was heartfelt in their own way, and I appreciate that we got three different stories and characters’ baggage instead of one seeping into the other, which happens sometimes with siblings. At the same time, I loved the family dynamic and how they were able to be main characters and supporting characters at the same time, without losing their essence.
The story feels slow-paced, even though it takes place within a month. Alternating between the siblings’ point of view made the story compelling, especially because 1/3 through the book, none of the stories have actually developed. I also think it helped to get into the different stories, as you get to know the characters and become invested in their stories little by little.
My favorite arc was definitely Rafi’s, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by Birdie’s arc. At first, I felt like she was so annoying (I’m not a fan of the stand-up-comedian-who-doesn’t-know-how-to-adult archetype) BUT I loved where her story went and we leave her at the end.
Overall, this is a very enjoyable read, full of heart (and a little heat ;))

It’s a cute little romance book that then tries to be really deep and also tries to have three love stories at once. Such as seriously ambitious book. It mostly succeeds but the smut comes too late and the middle stretches on forever. I did finish it, but I’m not really sure who I would recommend it to. But love that it’s queer. I definitely appreciate that. I got three stories in
one, but I’m more of a smut reader and a one story at a time kinda gal.

It’s an okay rom, and it ends the way it should. But there’s nothing particularly special about the writing.

Pay no attention to how long it took me to read this book because it was actually devoured in two sittings with w busy whirlwind of days in between. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and its delightful cast of characters! All of them were fully fleshed out and felt so real. I almost can’t believe that the Belvederes aren’t a real family. Going in I thought, “REALLY? EVERY one of these siblings is queer?” 🤨 but, um, yes. I’m now absolutely certain that someone like Babs Belvedere could not possibly produce a straight child lol I was further surprised to find that, despite two of the stories being sapphic, Ravi’s was my absolute favorite. What can I say? I’m a sucker for friends to lovers!
I’m short, this was a very sweet story about family, love, and the gays. I highly recommend it.

3.75. Okay, I know we don’t need every queer romance to be a three part series following a different friend/sibling BUT this one would have really worked much better in that format. I thoroughly enjoyed Birdie and Liz’s stories. They were compelling individually and had a fun sister relationship. Both of their partners, though secondary characters, felt fully realized too. However, I could not find it in me to really engage with Ravi’s story and overall just felt we needed more of all of them.
I was also not a huge fan of the way the more intimate scenes were written.
