This was everything I was hoping it would be and more. It's equal parts messy and charming, larger than life and real and authentic at the same time. All three perspectives drew me in immediately, and I felt like I got to know the characters very well. All three of them were flawed, complex characters who went through a lot of growth throughout the story. I didn't always like them, but I did find myself rooting for them and feeling invested in their stories. I could easily see myself rereading this book every December, it's definitely a new favourite holiday read.

Liz, Birdie, and Rafi are all returning to their famous mother's home for the holidays. Liz is trying to pitch a new season of her hit show, and avoid her feelings for the star of the show. Birdie is struggling with her stand-up career, her relationships, and her drinking when she meets a local artist. Rafi is turned down after a public proposal and returns home to spend time with his best friend.

I really enjoyed all the characters in this book. I did wish there had been an epilogue, especially for Birdie's ending, but I thought it was an all around great holiday romance.

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for an early copy.

I love and admire Georgia Clark’s writing and Most Wonderful was no exception. This light but yet complex Christmas read had everything I needed to get in the holiday spirit. Three siblings, their larger than life mother, and their ever-evolving romantic relationships.

I absolutely adored all the characters. Liz, Rafi and Birdie all have their own challenges this holiday season, both in their love life and out of it. I loved how the character’s each had their own storyline and that their respective love interests felt like fully fleshed out people. Even though this is a cheerful, optimistic story, Clark didn’t shy away from showcasing realities of life and how they might affect how people approach making important life decisions and react to challenges in relationships. Family illness, miscarriage, complex parental relationships, alcohol abuse and divorce are all discussed during this story in a meaningful way that doesn’t detract from the overall holiday cheer.

This was truly an ambitious book and Most Wonderful sticked the landing. Be sure to preorder this book now and add it to your TBR for this upcoming winter season. Thanks to the author, NetGalley and Dial press for the ARC.

Oh how I loved this book! I really enjoyed the three POV’s, each sibling was unique and layered. I really loved each of their journey’s with love, themselves, & their mother play out. Rafi & Ash are childhood friends to lovers sweetness. Liz & Violet have a beautiful honesty to them that I adored. Birdie’s own journey is filled with some lows but ultimately leave her on an high note and I really did enjoy how it all played out. Babs was of course fantastic!
