I really wanted for her to say she loved him. But the way it ended was realistic for the kind of person Elle is. Ultimately the book was very very good and I love Megan Hart's style of writing. So many memorable quotes!

I had to force my way through this.

50 pages of amazingly depressing story, 50 pages of admittedly well done and somewhat varied vanilla erotica, and 200 to 300 pages of angst that was slow to reveal its cause.

I am very happy to be done with this.

Dirty is not your average erotic romance story. Elle didn't have an easy life, in fact you can see that she is quite broken and is trying hard to put her life back together. You can clearly feel her character evolving throughout the story. Dan, on the other hand, is a very likable character and almost too perfect with the way he handles their relationship.

I liked the fact that the story had some depth and took turns that you would not expect.

P.S: Just found out that there is an epilogue for this book. Can't wait to read it!

Whoaaaa! I knew this book was gonna have angst but wasn't expecting the snot sobbing mess I became from it. The sex was hot and the plot has depth. This is my second book from this author and I can't wait to read more.

I don't how to review this properly. The words don't seem right. Is it erotica? Well, it's definitely erotic but that doesn't quite cover it. Is it contemporary romance? Yes and no. There is little romance because Elle doesn't like that. Is it dark? Well it's not sunshine and rainbows. Is it emotional? Yes, but it's hidden behind a mask of cold indifference, just like Elle. You see, she is broken. But Dan, with the patience of a Saint, refuses to give up and eventually helps with her healing. It's not easy, she never makes it easy. Is there a HEA? They're working on it.

A very interesting read, and not at all what it sounded like from the blurb. Kinda reminded me of Eleanor Oliphant, which I wasn't an enormous fan of. I like my romances to be fully fleshed out and well developed- while I got over my irritation with Elle's angst pretty quick, I think there were too many aspects of the plot and characters that weren't developed enough, like Gavin, Chad, Elle's dad, Elle's relationship with Matthew, a bit more depth to Dan that made him seem more real and not some weird mythical being that somehow knew the right thing to do every time and was able to read Elle's mind.

I need Dan to be real. And marry him.

I need more female protagonists to be like Elle and understand that they dont need a man in order to be completely happy.

And I need to read more healthy relationships like the one Dan and Elle have.

btw, this may or may not contain spoilers....

This book started really boring. And that's why I took so long to read it. The good thing is that after it got a lot better.

This book was so sad but I think it treated really well the sensitive subject sorrounding Elle. This was a hard, touching and credible romance. I LOVED how it developted and how we get to see Elle's determination to heal her heart and her soul. And how Dan give her the space she needs but at the same time, doesn't give up on her. This is not a romanticised relationship between a "broken girl" who needs a guy to feel loved and a sexy dude who can heal her; on the contrary, is the story of a woman trying to overcome something horrible that has happen to her, and how in the way she meets an awesome man and very very slowly they start a romantic relationship. (yes, it begun like an "only sex" relationship, but the process of that turning out into a romance is extremely well done).

I want to read more of this author.
