Read this with my kids for homeschool (5th grade), and they really enjoyed it. I personally would have given this a 3 star rating, but I rounded it up since the kids really liked it a lot.

As an educator, I appreciated the vocabulary definitions scattered throughout the text (and the children agreed that they found them helpful), but as an adult reader, I found it overdone and a bit distracting. Looking forward to seeing where the story goes in book #2.
