Another great read! Quite a change in Austen's typical heroines. Anne is older, mature, sensible, and comparatively simple. Anne's feelings and quiet, long-time suffering are relatable to those who have experienced great desire, love, and loss. I am always in awe of how Austen's writing can feel so modern despite it being of another time.

WOW I absolutely adored this book. It is a masterpiece from page one to the very end.
Anne’s character was just incredible. The way Jane Austen set the scene at the beginning with her dad and sister in comparison to her was so strong.
AND THE LETTER… I knew it was coming and I was getting more and more nervous for it. My heart literally dropped and I don’t think I’ve ever read anything more romantic. Who knew you could get butterflies for someone that isn’t yourself?
I’m probably going to reread this book right away to appreciate it all over again. Love love love.

Probably my favorite JA book I’ve read so far! I love the quiet courage and strength of Anne. There’s just something about this story that feels more tender than some of the others
