I had been edging this book since it came out because I was really looking forward to Danny and Katie's story. I had very high hopes, so that might be why I did not love it as much as I thought I would, but I still really liked it. I loved the characters and how their story developed, but the pacing felt off to me. The book just felt slow, which could have been because I listened to the audiobook, and I did not like the narrator in this book as much as I liked her in the previous books. I don't think her voice fit the characters.
In my unqualified opinion, the amputee rep was great. It was a part of the story because it is a part of Katie is, and was treated very respectfully. I can't speak to the accuracy, so I will leave that to others.
CW: memories of hospital stay after car accident, ableism, roofied, diet talk
