The book is slow and boring. The premise is cool and I very much wanted to like it, but it's too slow. And I'm a person who likes slow!
With that said, the narrator for the audio book, Andrea Parsneau, is fantastic! I kept with it for as long as I did because of her. I DNF at 97%, but that's still 4 hours of audiobook left to go! I just couldn't do it.

This was fantastic - slice of life/cozy fantasy and then it rips your heart out! The writing is impressive, world building excellent. Loved most of the characters.

I'm glad I decided to give this a look! This has a good variation of characters, and the multiple storylines are generally gripping. While there is plenty of slice-of-life, the characters generally have true motivations and there is enough drama is some chapters to give the slice-of-life meaning. This is a modern classic of the genre for a reason, although I'm still not really a fan of litrpg in general.

The plot and characters are great and the web serial is surprisingly decently written. The world- while not strikingly unique or complex- stands out for how well it meshes together.
