A satisfying conclusion to an entertaining, fast-paced trilogy. Ewing's writing style remains straightforward and lacks ornamentation, but the story kept me turning the pages rapidly. Violet's saga perhaps wraps up a tad too quickly and the ending of the book feels a touch cliche, but this is an enjoyable and worthy read.

Satisfying ending to the series. What I really love though is how much my students are enjoying these books. Any book that makes a 12 year old beg for the next edition is awesome in my eyes.

What a great conclusion to a fantastic trilogy. I immediately fell in love with the story when I initially read The Jewel and I don't know why it took me so long to get around to this third book. It was the perfect ending to this story. The last 100 pages had me hooked. There was so much action and it was very good closure. I'm glad where these characters ended up. If you haven't read this trilogy yet, please do!

Pretty good conclusion to The Lone City trilogy. It wasn't spectacular, but it was a solid if predictable ending. I think the problem stemmed from the fact that through most of the book, we are in Violet's head and it was somewhat boring. There was one sad twist, but other than that it ended as expected. Worth reading if you've gone this far with the series. I listened to the audiobook version of this.

I am very satisfied with the ending of this trilogy. This third installment combines everything that I loved about the previous books. I think if you loved the first book, then you would appreciate this one as well.

This end to the series still held my attention, but just started to lean a little bit too close to The Hunger Games for my taste. Also had multiple moments of frustration with the heroine because her actions turned so childish at the end. Probably wouldn’t read it again but it was a quick and easy read.

Good ending to the story. Not my favorite series, but I enjoyed it. I forgot a lot of the details, though they did come back.

That was a wild ride. A good wild ride. I've ended up really enjoying this series. Although the Cora/Coral thing realllly confused me for quite a while. I'd completely forgotten about Cora from book one, so I kept thinking they were making the same typo over and over. Moral of the story: don't wait nearly three years to read the rest of the series.

So. So bad. Decided to read because the last book ended on such an abrupt cliffhanger. Pressed through for some reason. Relieved it’s finally over.
