I like books that wait a while until the couple actually hookup.

Boyfriend Material is fast becoming my favorite Lauren Blakely series! Give me a slightly nerdy guy, and I am hooked. This story features Amy, a junior editor who is interested finding good literature. Competent yet shy, she is finding her way in her chosen profession. In walks Linc, a dead ringer for Clark Kent(and who can resist those glasses) and she is smitten. Their banter is funny and smart, and the two have an instant chemistry. Now Amy is not looking for a relationship, but she puts herself out there for her best friend, creating a profile and beginning to vet out possible boyfriends. She prefaces with "asking for a friend". But what happens when it's no longer for her friend? I loved this quirky, fun loving story. It's got a little of everything, and Blakely always is able to mesh it all so well together. I laughed and loved my way through this, from thesaurus to Dax...it's all great fun. I also love Blakely's use of first names that I recognize as people she works with and admires. It makes the listen that more intimate and enjoyable.
Always knows for her perfect picks of voices, Blakely chooses Andi Arndt and Jason Clarke to voice this book. They are consummate experts and are able to give this book everything. I loved their performances and the way they compliment each other in the dual narration. Add in cameos by Zachary Webber(loved his character) and Erin Mallon, and it's an all star event surely not to be missed.
