I've not read all of Tess Gerritsen's Rizzoli and Isles but Die Again was a reminder that I need to do so. Quite gory at times, you really don't want to eat at the same time, but there is plenty of drama also. I preferred the sections of the book that were set in Botswana, these for me were more interesting. There are some references to events that happened in the previous novels but this didn't stop me enjoying the read. I do prefer though to read books in order.
I plan on reading the books I have missed in the near future.

Thanks to the author and the publisher for the copy via NetGalley.

Gerritsen knows how to write a good crime/thriller. Rizzoli and Isles are back again on the hunt for another killer in Boston. The story flicks back and forth between present day Boston and their investigation and current murder, and six ago on an African Safari that all went to hell. The characters are believe and intriguing and I love the way things slowly tie together. I had a hunch about who might be the killer they were after and whether or not it was the man we were led to believe, and I also had no idea about the real truth of some of the case facts and how they turned out. Surprises at every turn, this one will keep you hooked until the end. Another awesome Rizzoli and Isles book. Would definitely recommend for those who love to read crime fiction and for fans of Tess Gerritsens previous novels.

Thank you to the publisher and Goodreads for letting me read this book early!

I am going to give this a 5, only because a 4 is too low. They really need to let us do 1/2 stars! This book was fantastic. I would say that it is one of her best in the series. I still like The Surgeon and The Apprentice more, but this is really close to those two on my list of books to read. The killer who I thought it was, and yet, it wasn't who I thought it was. That will only make sense if you read the book!

A group of tourists go to Africa for a safari. They are all lost except for one woman. She managed to survive by traveling on foot for two weeks until she reached a camping lodge. Her story is that the person responsible for their protection turned on them.

In Boston, six years later, a man who's son was on that safari is killed. At first it doesn't look like there is a connection. Then a strange and horrific pattern begins to emerge. Maybe they are related. Rizzoli and Isles pursue the case and hope for a resolution before more people are killed.

Love this series. It isn't much like the TV series but has enough similarities to appeal to fans of the show. Ms Gerritsen is a terrific writer and this series is well crafted with great characters. Highly recommended to all mystery/thriller fans.
