It was a gods happy ending to the series, it’s nice to finally see everyone happy and moving forward. Aaron and Juliette both so cute in this book however it did feel dragged, I just wanted to see the long awaiting heartfelt moments that sort didn’t come through in this, the end is very much an assume your own thoughts whereas I wish we saw the actual wedding and the vowels. But still great series!

This series has too many novellas. Most of which are needed to understand the series as a whole. This particular novellas was not needed at all. There was too much unnecessary conflict for the sake of making it over a 100 pages for the book to actually make sense in the Shatter Me universe. It was so annoying every single time Warner was rude to someone because they showed him kindness, but it was ever MORE annoying every time he got into an actual argument with someone because it was never resolved. He got into an argument with Sam over the future of the world they live in, which was then interrupted by his SURPRISE WEDDING???? And nothing that they were fighting about was ever brought up again. This doesn't at all feel like the conclusion to a 6 book dystopian series. Everything they talked about that had to do with "rebuilding" and "making the world a better place" was pushed to the side in order to prioritize Warner's stupid insecurities about whether he was "enough for Ella" or not. I got so tiredddddd of hearing about how Ella was just the perfect human and nothing he could do would ever make up for how much she "changed him". LIKE SHUT UP!!!! I DON'T CARE!!!!!

Warner didn't go through literally any character development. He just got his memory back, and nothing else. There was a point where Tahereh had to spell out that they were friends now. Great example of "show don't tell" because why did you type out the words "And Warner realized he had friends" Ok dude! Where does it show that any of these people like him even remotely. He even got into a huge fight with all of these characters separately, then all the sudden they're happy to take up most of his work so he and his fiancee can have a happy little wedding day??? None of these conflicts are resolved and by the end of the book we don't even get a wedding. Warner has a panic attack because he's little coward and a pussy then he calms down because Kenji describes Ella to him then the decade long series ends.

The original ending for this series was Juliette crowns herself leader of America and it's left open ended. Ok cool! That's fine! This ending is "Juliette is now a public figure and framed as a savoir, but she's gonna settle down as a housewife to the dude who tortured her for an extended period of time. Their relationship sucks. The surprise wedding sucks. How have you been with this man since childhood and not know that he doesn't to well with secrets, surprises, groups, people, weddings, and everything in between. There was so much tension around what secret Juliette was hiding and the entire time it was a whoLE WEDDING.

I think Warner should have died I can't even lie. Or Juliette. One of those guys. Would've made the end a lot more insightful.

This was cute and the happy ending that I needed after Imagine Me. I don’t need Warner, but I need someone like him, Kenji, Nazeera, and Juliette in my life.
