I take back my previous statuses regarding this book. I actually almost dnfed this and I'm so glad I picked this up again and gave this a second chance.
The first book is undoubtedly much better but I still enjoyed reading this very much. Still very full of snark and witty banters. Maggie and Jesse were so cute. I ship them so much it hurts. And Roux.. I want Roux for a BFF.

Fun for the whole family. All the characters were adorable as usual, and I still thought it was hilarious although maybe not as strong as the first book. Review to come.

Still the same awesome bunch of characters and witty banter but failed somewhat on the pacing. Even the romance is too silly sometimes. It was just too dull and straightforward I sort of started to lose interest on the plot -- especially after they had gone to Paris.

This was better than the first novel, but it was still ugh. It barely had a climax and there was barely any action. The love stories were also very overdone.

Going Rogue is a fun sequel to [b:Also Known As|13132661|Also Known As (Also Known As, #1)|Robin Benway|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1354665105s/13132661.jpg|18309079]. The situations in this book are so out of the realm of reality and yet also have enough realism injected into the characters and relationships that it works to make the outrageousness just believable enough to keep me invested. I enjoyed seeing how Maggie's relationships with those around her are changing now they know her secrets, how she is coping, and how the secrets she has always lived with affect the people who love her. Jesse remains the very best of boyfriends despite some bumpy patches in the road and Roux is as lovable and surly as ever. I'm definitely hoping for more of these because I just find these characters so delightful.

While I'd forgotten a lot of what happened in the first book of this series, it turns out that wasn't an issue, as this installment had its own adventure, its own twists and turns, and was thoroughly enjoyable. There's some coming of age elements here, as Maggie attempts to navigate a normal life along with taking care of her spy duties, there are some fights with her friends regarding her withholding information, and lots of intrigue. I would love to see another book in this series, although it does tie itself up nicely.

I’m not big on heist stories. They usually get too complicated and go around in circles. This series is an exception. They’re well-written and don’t have too much going on. I had fun reading this one. It had a nice twist on the first book and I’m interested to see what happens next. Roux is a great sidekick. She is a real scene-stealer. It’s good to have teen books with positive female relationships. Hopefully that will continue in the rest of the series.
