Some amusing bits but overall, didn’t care about the lead character, Bob.

I really did not expect to like this book as much as I did. But it was quite genuinely one of the best I've read in a long time. Easy to read but very captivating use of language. Laugh-out-loud funny at times.

There is a wonderful novella in this book but the effort to fill it out to novel length didn’t work for me.  Marketed as a collection of linked short stories I might have appreciated it more, but it give me what I want from a novel.
