Finally getting to the second book in this amazing underrated sci fi horror! I loved how the story progressed, even though it is a considered horror it didn’t freak me out or bore me. The characters where amazing and I loved seeing what happens next. Can’t wait to read the next book in this series!

When I finished Sanctuary I had no idea if there was going to be a sequel or not. So when I saw news of Containment I was super excited! Though I loved Sanctuary it was left very open ended, so I was excited to get the answers that I been waiting for. Containment answered some of those questions but also added more to that list. This book was a 500 page emotional roller coaster that had me laughing, crying and angry all in the span of ten pages.

It isn't often that you see PTSD represented in Science Fiction novels and I really enjoyed seeing that representation in Containment. Some characters go through hell and back and can bounce back, but others can't. Watching Kenzie's actions through out Containment you can see how the events on Sanctuary shaped and changed her. How in certain moments she freezes up or how she had nightmares about Matt's death. I'm intrigued to see where Kenzie's character is going to go in the next book.

Overall I loved Containment and I am eagerly awaiting news of a third book. Containment was action packed and didn't slow down for a moment. With the introduction of knew characters, powers and setting Containment will keep you entertained from the first and until the last page.

I am so sad to say that this one was not as good as the first. But the ending made up for it!! This is a full 4 star book in my eyes. It picked up a few weeks after the ending of the first book and things got real!! I did like that the author split the kids up because that was a ton of people trying to keep track of. Most of them we didn't even know their name so this really worked out as a benefit. It made the cast of characters at lost more manageable. And well ya know as far as we know they are all still alive. So if need be they could maybe pop back up later.

This one has us going to four locations. Unlike book one where we were pretty much on Sanctuary this one were on the alien ship, Mars, another station, and another planet. This travel worked out well. It kept the story going and made it not stagnant at all. Although I did feel that parts of the story were unneeded for the most part everything was great.

Characters especially Kenzie go through beginning stages of full on PTSD. Which made this story feel very real. I mean you have a bunch of kids that are older teens going through seeing people being ripped apart. Kenzie has lost her mom and friends and now the aliens that she thought she escaped are back and stronger than ever.

This one is another story that of course ends on a cliffhanger really Lix you are killing me!!!! And at this point we don't know who has survived and who hasn't and I am like dying here!!!!

I blasted through this at break-neck speed, the plot drove forward really quickly.

I really like the story and would like to read the next one NOW! lol

The only thing that I really didn't like was Kenzie's constant self-check-in's. I know the realizations and personal growth are part of the character arc, especially in YA, but it was a little annoying to have her having revelations about pretty much everything.

This was a super quick read. I flew through this book, which surprised me. The plot kept chugging along and the characters were interesting.  I wouldn’t say there were surprises, but there were turns and it kept the characters on their toes. I’m looking forward to book three and seeing how this series is going to wrap up.

Kenzie and her friends have - barely - escaped the aliens who took down Sanctuary. Now they need a new plan. Because an alien beacon is calling their race to the solar system, and if they gain a foothold, they'll be unstoppable.

It's a while since I read Sanctuary, but there's enough backstory and explanations sprinkled in here that I remembered who everyone was and what the important events were. This is a fast paced story; it gets a little repetitive in the middle, but the ending makes up for it, and I'm excited to see what happens in the third volume. A great read for anyone into sci fi or action/adventure.

More of the creatures must have attacked. They weren’t even bothering with subtlety now. They were literally tearing the ship apart in an effort to destroy every last one of us. And from there—what?

Mars was closest. But Earth was undoubtably next.

I pictured everyone I’d left behind, Anya and my cousins and Jasper’s family, and my blood ran cold.

It randomly got stupidly corny, plus I already had a lot of issues with book one and it looked like this book was not just continuing those issues but creating more

I feel like one main twist was very expected but the Liam one was a fun little oh damn. The tension in this book from the aliens really keeps you on your toes so you are continuously entertained. I think the relationship development is also very interesting in this book and I’m so curious to see where the final book takes us.
