Man. This book. It read like it’s written by a 14yo girl. So basic. Carolena is a “spunky” & “spirited” Mariest Sue of the Mary Sues. Carnage is precious, but not sure why he can’t really talk. Everyone else is rattling off monologues and he’s over here grunting and miming. Like...is he a super old gargoyle who hadn’t developed the ability of speech, like a Neanderthal man? Was his mouth/jaw injured so it’s hard to talk? Who knows? It’s never even hinted at. I know why Carnage loved Carolena *cough* she’s got a vagina *cough*. Not sure why she loves him. I mean he’s super sweet and simple, but she’s got ALL THESE OPTIONS....at least that’s what the author wants you to believe because everybody with a penis just lurves her sooooo much. It has potential, hence the 2 stars, but it needs fleshed out and some stuff could have been cut out. I don’t care about Destoy’s/Troy’s book. He’s annoying. Now Lore and Enthrall and maybe even Murder...those stories I might be interested in.

Well, color me surprised. This turned out to be way better than I thought it would be. Not 100% perfect, as I found the heroine to be a bit childish at times, and I wasn't overly fond of both Enthrall and Destroy in love with the heroine as well. But other than those two little niggles this was a fantastic book, and I really want book two ASAP!
