Finished my first full reread today (last time I took a page out of Shile’s book and immediately reread bits and pieces over and over again, but I’m counting this as the first official reread), and wanted to add some things to my review, if you can even call it that.
Firstly, why TF does this series get better each time I read it?
Secondly, how TF do I get out? Because this is me right now, seriously:

This whole series blew my mind and left me speechless, by far the best thing I've ever read, the fact that I can only give it 5 stars makes me want to go back and give every other book I've every given 5 stars too 4 stars instead! This book completely ruined me and consumed me in the best possible way! I feel like I can never read anything else now because nothing will compare!

ig now i never have to read a colleen hoover book bc this is EXACTLY what i imagine them to be like. i thought i liked this more than the first one bc ryan showed some signs of improvement at the beginning but literally all of that fell apart by the end. if brendon was a girl ryan would be be treated like harden or some shit. he’s an abusive narcissistic asshole who has some incredibly disturbing thoughts about his partners. sure, he faces consequences for his actions, but never truly changes. If he does have character development, it’s just to change his methods. i can’t sympathize with this man.

This is such an excellent, realistic portrayal of two deeply selfish, confused, and hopeful individuals falling in love and lacking the trust to do anything useful with it. Something that really hit me on a re-read is the suspicion between Ryan and Brendon and how doubt and desperation control all their choices. I think the internal monologue was even more well crafted in this volume… the unreliable narration is top notch. The last chapter of this will always stick in my mind as a “what the fuck” moment lol. Excited to reread vol 3 next as it was always my favorite !!!
