I felt a bit lost at the beginning. The world building was strong and definitely keeps you on your toes. And even if you believe you’ve grasped it all, Ross will throw in a zinger.
I absolutely love the depth of this book. All these layers, characters and relationships – chefs kiss. And while it is definitely worth the read, it’s not a favorite for me. I will continue and read the second book, but not right away.
Reason I gave this book 4 stars? Definitely the ending. I don’t like these kind of endings…

5 star read. I loved this book, and the story telling. A wonderful world was weaved that I could immerse myself in. I preferred this series to divine rivals. Lovely writing, and am always excited to read a storyline unlike any other, so Thankyou for that.
