Dragged out for quite a while. Don’t think it needed to be this long. Cute magic involved. Not a bad book.

5/5 Guys, GUYS! One of my top 5 favorite books this year! Scottish folklore, magical elements, badass female lead, multiple POVs, mystery, suspense, and romance! Such beautiful, lyrical prose and wonderful world building, but still kept at a reasonable page count (480). I also just finished the sequel, A Fire Endless, and rated that 5 stars as well. It's a great duology, I can't stop thinking about it!

PS: Listen to the audiobook, Ruth Urquhart is phenomenal!
