A strong start, but a bizarre storyline that is drawn out. Newlyweds go to bora bora for their honeymoon where they stumble upon a plane wreck undersea and large fortune and diamonds locked in a bag. I found this book extremely annoying. The protagonist is just obsessed with her husband and refuses to acknowledge that he’s a gaslighting dick. All the evidence is in front of her at the end and she still says how much she loves him???? No.
Way too much unnecessary commentary as well. Some background information given from the protag’s perspective is a waste of time.
There were too many points where I was like “how on earth could anyone be this stupid” and “just walk away from it now”
If she didn’t turn the phone on in the first place none of this would have happened. The protagonist is an idiot not a courageous woman beating the odds.
