Wow. This book had me on the edge of my seat! I listened to the audiobook read by the author and once I started I didn’t want to stop. Absolutely brilliant! My only criticism and the reason I didn’t give this book five stars is that it is so extremely and unnecessarily vulgar. That was a major disappointment, especially since everything else in the novel was so wonderfully done!
Reread this is 2023 and enjoyed it even more the second time around! Such a great psychological thriller! It made me a devoted Catherine Steadman fan and I will always read her books.

If figured out the plot pretty early on, which was ok by me because I'm not a huge fans of thrillers. Still had some fun elements to watch them develop.

These characters make the worst possible decision at every opportunity. Many of the other plot points just don't make sense, or aren't tied up sufficiently. I finished this book because of was a book club pick. At least it was a quick read!

3.5 stars. It’s was a good entertaining book. I pretty much listen to it straight through. Some parts were unbelievable. But I really enjoyed it.
Audio book notes: don’t listen to this book near your Alexa device. There is a character named Alexa so my device kept waking up. 😂. I loved the sound affect that was used during phone calls. I also loved the authors voice.

I really liked the plot and storyline of this book but I don’t think the writing was for me. There were lots of short sentences which kind of made me feel detached from the story and just didn’t hook me. Again, the story was interesting but the writing turned me off from the book unfortunately. Other than the writing, I enjoyed the story and was intrigued by the relationships formed.
