Incredibly interesting. Slow at first, and definitely confusing, but once you start to figure things out it's brilliant.

Having grown up in Russia, this novel has been a part of my life since childhood. And it was only after I left the country and was 26 years old that I decided it was time to finally read this book. I still vividly remember being scared of Behemoth, the "giant" human-like black cat, as a child because I had seen a scene from a television adaptation and thought it was THE devil. If only my little self knew that Behemoth was actually one of the greatest comic reliefs in this story and that there was no reason for me to be afraid of the funny, chubby cat. The novel was phenomenal and an absolute delight to read. It had some shocking moments, a somewhat dark and suspenseful atmosphere and some very funny dialogues between the characters. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it!

Che dire, il chaos in persona. Ho adorato.

I enjoyed this book very much. I found it extremely romantic never in a cheesy or boring way. At the same time it's funny and as far as possible from being ordinary.

There were times when I really got into the book, loved it and found it funny. I didn’t struggle with the names as much as I was dreading I would. But I just can’t get fully into it at the moment and found myself hesitant to read and constantly checking the page number.

However, I would really like to return to this one day
