so why in the HELL did I wait to read this? Oh, that's right. Cause I'm a moron. I totally freaking loved this book to pieces!
I felt so much for Brooklyn. I felt so bad for her and so sad at the same time. I was proud of her accomplishments though. She went thru a lot for one person to deal with alone. And to rise above it all was amazing.
Nick Wilde, I think I just fell in love again. Not lust but love. That man was amazing. I loved what he did for her!
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this book!!!

Enjoyed the heartbreaking, heart-healing ride on how you can't live life without others supporting you and catching you when you fall. Thought I was getting something dark and twisted but got heartbreaking and didn't mind one bit.

I definitely liked this book. The book really gets to you;
the situations that the main character deal with are
things that right now in society are so common
and are so, so bad... But even though you have a dark past
you can still have a bright future, you can have a second chance
to mend all the mistakes you did before...

For me this book, was about second chances and about don't letting go of the light inside of you...Fight the darkness!

“What happens if I don’t agree to go home with you every day?” I ask, unable to wipe the smile off my face.

“Then I guess you’ll have to start taking me home with you,” he says with a casual shrug.

“No running,” I say.

“Not unless you want me to keep catching you,” he murmurs, dipping his head to brush his lips against mine.

Well, didn't really catch my attention. But the message is crystal clear and how the author tell us their story is really good.

Yet another out-of-the-ballpark novel from Claire! Depression is an evil thing and this book touches on that subject...along with others. Brooklyn is such a broken women looking for her way in the high class life her parents gave her. My heart broke so many times for her...But she pushed on and let people see that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Nick Wilde was absolutely amazing! I won't lie, I did doubt him a couple of times but he is officially my new book boyfriend. Shea was like an emotional roller coaster ride for me. That boy was a mess and I found at times that I hated him, loved him, and wanted to thoroughly kick his ass into next week but in the end my heart ached just as badly for him as it did for Brooklyn throughout the story. This is an emotional read and I HIGHLY recommend it!

This book was just simply amazing! It's interesting to read about the life of someone rich and famous from their point of view and especially if it's a heart wrenching perspective.

Brooklyn has been raised in the music industry along side her brother Hendrix (love that name!). Her father owns the famously acclaimed Harmon records that every artist just would die to sign with, but it hasn't been all rainbows and butterflies for Brooklyn. Her mother has basically berated her for the entirety of her life because she didn't have the model body that her mother has. She was constantly told to diet and that nothing she did was ever good enough. Her father was a bit better but didn't give Brooklyn the time of day. Even though she had all the money she could ever ask for it didn't buy her the one thing she needed - love.

Through the story you find out that she is basically given her job with Harmon records as a talent scout even though she owns her own microphone company. Through this new position she meets Nick, a producer. She is captivated by him and fights like hell against her instincts. You learn about all the struggles she has been faced with and then when she finally does find peace the rug is pulled out from under her not once but twice!

I was balling my eyes out by the end of this book but it was so well worth reading!!
