This was the most volatile deluxe edition so far. The choices these characters make at times... They all need therapy so bad. Sadly, they do not have time for that, and it does not seem to be getting any better. I am excited to get the next edition, and see how Guts deals with fate and his relationship with Griffith.

I've read this book three times.  With some comics and manga I skip a few pages on rereads, but I found myself unable to skip a single page for the sheer artistry of Miura's panels.  Riveting, and to-the-bone raw (and a HUGE tw for sexual assault and capital torture), Miura does it again.
