It's moral relativism at its finest -- disturbing, unflinching, and challenging.

Its very hard to rate this book, because of of the disparity between how strong its strengths are, and how vile its fauls. I really appreciate Yanagiharas writing and prose but shes kind of a little freak yknow. This book was beautifully written and the first half was amazing but Perina and his actions genuinely disgusted me so much it was a little hard to finish, and it made the journey of the book fizzle out in a sickening and, maybe most importantly, unsatisfying ending.
