this book will stay forever with me, will reread a lot of times
really does showcase “the destructive power of society on the sensitive non-comformist individual”

please do analyze it in depth, you won’t regret it. and look at literary analysis because this play is full of symbolism that is so interesting to explore

Had to read this for class. None of the characters but maybe Mitch is likeable and frankly I am tired of plays that are pointless tragedies. It would've been different if there were good or hopefull moments but this been depressing from start to finish.

“I don't want realism. I want magic! Yes, yes, magic! I try to give that to people. I misrepresent things to them. I don't tell the truth, I tell what ought to be the truth. And it that's sinful, then let me be damned for it!”

This is a profound portrayal of a war of ideals and society. I loved it. I love cat and mouse chases.

I read this for school and I was okay. i feel like Blanche is a character that will stay with me, but the play is forgettable besides that. I don’t think this is a play would read in my own. And I don’t think I’ll read anything else by this author. It was fine, just dated and not my style.
