Unfortunately, everything the first book was this was /not/. I would have dnf'ed if it weren't a series. Up in the air if I am going to go on to the rest of the series at this point. BUT we were absolutely robbed in the Netflix version - where was Love impersonating Peach's lover??- best part of the book.

Captivating and messed up. Joe wasn’t as stalker-y but certainly more murder-y. I also read this book while rewatching Season 2 of You to see how they compare. It was interesting to see some major changes in the characters/plot. Just not quite as good as the first book to me.
