Well written, captivating story. Some parts of it made me quite uncomfortable to read. In particular the young boy slave, though I do think she is going for an ancient Greek type society where this happened, so I feel it is appropriate for the story. It just took away from my enjoyment at times.

Read the whole thing in one go ♥ I love political stuff in fantasy countries and people hijacking power for themselves- and I'm also a sucker for icy bitchy princes and goodhearted not-so-barbaric barbarians. Also the slow burn romance is A++++ especially because it only starts to burn when the 'captive'-part of the name is heading towards its ending so it's not all stockholm syndrome imo.

and he spends like a month as a slave anyway lmao.
