Elsie is a chameleon, changing personalities to give the person in front of her the Elsie they want the most. Until she meets Jack. Her archenemy and also, annoyingly, the only person she can't read and can't guess what he wants.

Set in the world of academia, and specifically physics academia, this was actually really good. My first book by Ali Hazelwood was Deep End, and I didn't rate it all that much, but this was great. Slow burn, great characters, lots of puns, quite funny.
I can see now see why people love her books!
