We Zoomedddd through this one!
I did get annoyed with Elsie at times for not seeing through her mentor on her own, and for being so stubborn about how jack couldn’t like her and not getting past his article. But the end wrapped it up nicely.
Cute, hot, academic rivals??? Yes please

loved the romance and the spicy parts were pretty good. there was a lot of tension, but not too much, though the last ~100 pages did feel more like tying up loose ends than everything coming to a conclusion. still enjoyed it though!

I don't know how she does it, but Ali won me over in the end. At the beginning of this, I was not sure how I felt. It did not feel to me like other Ali Hazelwood books I have already read. Then, halfway through, I was so involved and I wanted to know everything going on and how it was going to end up. The third-act breakup was heartbreaking for me and I just wanted to skip to the end, but I saw it all through. I really liked this one.

Light, cheesy, and fun! I found myself wishing there was more to the story.
