Good read

Damn good read and looking forward to more. Does a really good job of identifying how the world moves on. Recommend for any vet, with thanks to the author.

I liked this but didn't love it. I liked the book theme but it lacked depth for the subject matter.

A high leveled adventurer leaves adventuring and opens a pub instead. of course the past and the adventures don't let him have an easy life.
Overall the mood of this is melancholic. I couldn't connect with the main character and how he acts. I got to > 60% and there was no energy between me and the book.
Nevertheless the writing is good, the idea of a retired adventurer at least not the standard and some banter between him and his old co-adventurers was fun.
Just overall - not for my taste.

Was a good book with a different start than the ones normally read (he's retiring).

No harems/sex in this book... Main character has good morals and seems to be setting up his life and getting into the swing of his new tavern, then we get towards the end of the book the "adventuring" part that will lead us into the next book.

Was a quick read, will pickup the next book and recommend this to others.

Interesting

Not so much gamelit as the game is just vaguely alluded to. But the mistery behind it works well and it flows pretty easily.

Very light when it comes to plot. Would like more of the main storyline and a little more depth

This was basically just a intro to the series that present many many more questions than it answered. I am very intrigued with what was presented to us but nothing really is happening.

Book would have been quite boring if it was any longer, and it was already getting there. I can see the next one being better, as long as they answer some of the questions posed in this one.
